Congratulations to Dr. Alan Wanamaker, associate professor of geology, who has been named a Geological Society of America (GSA) Fellow. Dr. Wanamaker will be recognized at the GSA annual meeting held next week (September 22-25, 2019) in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Wanamaker was nominated by Dr. David Gillikin, professor of geology and environmental science at Union College, who says, “Alan Wanamaker is an outstanding geoscientist, educator, and community member as evidenced by his meaningful contributions to paleoclimate research, mentorship of his students, and efforts in organization of GSA meetings.” For more information, please see the LAS news release.
